Indurian Archive
First there was the word. We took it and cared for it. We nurtured and fed it. Others tried to destroy it, tried to ruin it. We won’t stand for this. The word is precious and must be taken care of. We will bring light to the darkness. We will tell you how the world is. This is the Indurian Archive. This is the truth. Note: The Indurian Archive is distributed amongst Mage-Priests throughout Indur, and is simply a compilation of newspapers from various city-states. While not sold to the general public, it is still possible for your character to come across discarded newspapers and read of the news happening across the continent.

The Chronicle
First there was the word. Then the system changed the word. The leaders mutilated and raped it. The power-hungry butchered and devoured it, and spewed out what they decided was the true word. We will not stand for this. We will not allow this. We have come to take back the word. To bring truth to the lies. This is The Chronicle. This is the truth.

Nûthrendíl Mountains
Where the sand and desert fade into prairie and taiga of the north looms the formidable mountain range of Indur. The Nûthrendíl is one of the few locations left untouched by the Great Desert, standing steadfast in the face of an ever-changing world. Although the western edge borders the desert, the majority of the range remains an alpine tundra biome with heavy snowfall in the winter and temperate summers. The Aeluvrin is born of these mountains, its origin hidden deep in the heart of the range. She flows southward from the Nûthrendíl, making her way past the town of Bialta and into the Desert of Indur on her way to the sea. North of the mountains lies the expansive Tundra, the vast arctic landscape dotted with tiny villages and occasionally coniferous forests. The Nûthrendíl is home to many unique creatures and races, some of which are only found in this region.

Dimesca, The Desert Rose
A massive city once nestled amidst verdant fields, fragrant meadows, and lush forests, Dimesca was once praised as the Waterfall City. It was a glistening jewel of the Indurian continent, yet such graces are not meant to last forever. The land has since become blighted, the twin suns scorching the desert that stretches off endlessly before the eye. Nevertheless, life arduously persists even as the land dies, the antediluvian city-state standing as a testament to one of the last bastions of civilization. Boasting a mosaic of flamboyantly grandiose architecture consisting of fluted columns, flying buttresses, gilt steeples, and curvaceous cupolas, Dimesca manages to eek out an existence that many envy thanks to its fortuitous construction near the banks of the Aeluvrin River. Those new to Dimesca are met with the pleasant scent of purplish-red flowers which blanket the towering walls of the city, yet travelers must be wary, for the Llynthíel's sharp thorns carry a lethal poison.

The Great Desert
Considered a horrible blight that afflicts the land, the Great Desert - or sometimes referred to as the Great Blight - dominates the vast majority of the continent of Indur, and is consisted of a barren landscape, intermittently broken in upon by a fathomless sea of sand dunes. The ruins of ancient cities can be found spread across the desert, their walls crumbling beneath the grind of time and the howl of the merciless wind. These remnants of a forgotten civilization are slowly buried or revealed as the sand shifts, hiding away lost treasures as others still are birthed for a short period of time before disappearing as well.

Cadmia, The Sunstone City
This walled city, named for the dark golden bricks of the houses, sits near the bank of the Aeluvrin, as it has for centuries. Cadmia is vastly different from its rival, Dimesca. With about a week and a half travelling distance between the two cities, they are of the few remaining settlements to survive the blight. Unlike Dimesca, the Sunstone City has a monarchical system of government and a strict social order – in which Realm Drifters are considered slaves and can be killed on sight. Cadmians have developed a unique irrigation system and thus cultivate crops as well as animals. The city is well protected and highly suspicious of outsiders, Indurian or otherwise. But once inside the great walls, the traveler is met with the strong aroma of incense, the vibrant hues of silk and the balmy heat of the twin suns above.
