Hello you wonderful newcomer!

Your character seems neat. Never had the pleasure of rp'ing with a goblin I didn't want to kill, but there's a first time for everything!

Welcome to CoI. Smiley

The Mage Priest came to accept the discarding of her mask as a sign of her acceptance of him, a tight lipped smile pulling softly at his cheeks while his eyes evaluated her revealed features. It seemed strange to him that someone who had no deformities to hide chose to wear a mask, his initial preclusion of her dismissed with little afterthought. In listening to her speak, he gave every indication of his attentiveness while making his way back to his supplies. The slanted bundle was still rested against the willow as he lifted it into the air with little effort, pulling the strap over his wiry shoulder. Turning around once more, his gaze did not stay with Siela, but rather was cast to the forest floor in search of something else.

His feet brushed across the uneven earth in what seemed to be a scanning pattern, not taking him long to find whatever he was searching for. Nodding his head as though to reassure himself, which also coincided with Siela's last spoken word, he set his pack down and knelt to the earth. "I have found no better place to escape the desert than the Elmserith. At least you've made one wise decision in your seemingly senseless endeavors."

The comment was meant to sting, but thus far Siela had seemed oblivious to his attacking of her character. Or perhaps she just didn't care, and understood humility on a level that far surpassed his own. Had such a comment been directed at him, thoughts of gutting the other would have crept into his mind as a fleeting thought simply to satisfy his irritation. But he was a disciple of Zhaeves, and such devotion forbade him the act of murder. With a sweep of his hands, he cleared a small area where a circle of stones lay buried within the dirt, moss covering their smooth exterior denoting that while camp had once been made her, it had happened years ago. Perhaps, the elf thought with a glimmer of hope in his eye, this campsite had once been used by his ancestors.

Excavating the small depression in the ground with his bare hands, he crafted again what had been returned to the earth so long ago: a campfire. Looking up to Siela, his eyes watched to see what she was doing. "Are you hungry, Siela? I don't think much learning can be attained on an empty stomach."

Heya Inka! Welcome to CoI! Great character app. I believe this is our first goblin, so congrats! Just a quick question about her magic - how long will it last? Other than that, everything looks solid. Feel free to post a thread in the Introduction Board and take a look around the site.

Once the magic bit is explained, I'll be sure to approve you!

Gender: Female
Age: 22
Birthing Day:Essthertin 20th
Affiliation:
Place of Origin:A goblin warren under far mountains
Current Residence:Dimesca
Occupation: Agent
Guild/Order: Sable Order
Deity:Shedar
Marital Status:Unmarried

Complexion: Olive skinned
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Dark brown
Height: 4'6"
Weight: 65
Build: Thin and athletic.
Description: Inka is short thin and wiry, with thick long black hair. She has unusually large eyes, a sharp pointed nose, and an active expressive mouth. Her ears are somewhat pointed, but she can usually pass as a human, often a human child, if she wears her hair over them. She is partial to wearing dark clothing.

Personality:Inka is sly, scheming and usually cheerful and friendly. She enjoys practical jokes, and often speaks philosophically. Inka is not truly evil but she sees the world as a hostile place where malevolent events take place as a matter of course. As such, she has no second thoughts about poisoning people. Life is nasty, brutish, and short, and if you find a chance to have a laugh then there is no use complaining about it.
Knowledge:Poison lore, the language of goblins and the common tongue, a goodly assortment of limericks
Skills & Abilities:Inka is an accomplished poisoner. She makes venoms, contact poisons and inhalants that cause death, paralysis, sleep, and hallucinations.
Inka is skilled with a blowgun, can pick locks and is quite stealthy. She is highly dexterous and is skilled in the creation of small mechanical traps.
Inka can see in total darkness, although she had trouble seeing in bright daylight.
Magic:Inka knows a spell that enhances darkness. It is useless in the bright sun, but it can reduce the light from a candle or lantern to a feeble glow, or deepen a shadow so that it is hard to see into.  The spell lasts for about 10 minutes.

Weapons:Blow gun, throwing dagger, karambit
Armor:None
Miscellaneous:A variety of poisons

Inka was born in a small goblin warren deep underneath a mountain.  She was a fairly normal looking baby, but as time went by her looks became stranger and more malformed and she would have been driven out to die had her father not been a dangerous and well-respected poisoner.  Still, she was subjected to great if subtle abuse, and she left the mountains when she was old enough to look out for herself.

Inka soon found that among humans she was considered fairly attractive, and that by combing her hair over her ears she could generally pass as one.  It was not long after that that she wandered into a dense fog and emerged in Indur as a Kyther, a fact that she keeps a secret.

There was barely time to comprehend his response before she was pulled off to another location, her feet following blindly. His fingers gripped her skin as he effectively towed her through the crowd of native and Drifter alike. She found herself somewhat annoyed once she finally understood his hushed words, seeing as she didn't have a choice in the matter. Indy pulled her along behind him like a child, her own attempt to dodge bodies clumsy and impaired. The heat of the suns reigned down, a bead of sweat sliding between her shoulder blades, following the path of her spine as they hurried through the bazaar. The dress, though lightweight, was not by any means meant for running under the daylight sky. The sage material clung uncomfortably to her skin as she tried to keep up with the man.

What in the hell was he doing in the Desert Rose? a barrage of questions clouded her thoughts, none more significant than where he'd been these past months. The hair change was a close contender though, her eyes occasionally catching glints of the new hue as it flashed golden and bronze in the light. Was he trying to blend in now? she couldn't guess at his intentions (as they always managed to surprise her), but she damn well expected answers.

Finally reprieve was offered in the guise of an alley, the suns glare no longer afflicting them directly. But Indyrio was not content with the company so he continued on, his hand still firmly grasping her wrist. The dull ache his tugging created was supplementary to her irritation that she was being pulled around the northern quarter. They turned into a vestibule which led into a well manicured albeit small garden. She was almost surprised when he released her arm, the space where his fingers clung to her skin bearing a slight red bruise, the skin feeling abandoned of the familiar hold. She flexed the fingers as he turned to face her, the look in his eyes disconcerting.  Any spiteful comment about the journey was swallowed immediately.

"I've been in Dimesca," she answered, though the statement was obvious without her needing to point it out. The memory of their last meeting hung heavy in the air as Hadyn searched for the words to explain. "I couldn't leave." Her voice was soft, brown eyes meeting his. She was sweating from exertion, her breathing now slowing to normal as she smoothed the front of her dress. The braid was almost nonexistent at this point, brown waves slicked with the heat and hanging around her face, dark in the shadows of the courtyard.

"Where have you been?"

A roguish glimmer bled through to his eyes at the mention of a more licentious act, the white of his teeth clenching around the brim of his mug as pale liquid seeped in between the cracks. The gypsy would have given much to feel once again the warm and rough embrace of a lover like Jenny, but present circumstance made him feel far too vulnerable to allow such lustful thoughts to come to fruition. Such vices would have to wait until a more secluded time permitted, if that was indeed what Jenny had in mind after all of this. Then again, she could peruse the contents of the document he had just handed her and decide she no longer wanted anything to do with him. Jenny was a pirate after all, and nautical thievery was one of her specialties.

In speaking again, Indyrio gauged her expression to make sure the query was neither rhetorical nor entendre this time, his own voice more resonant and touched with fateful words as he decided she was sincere. "Many great tings, Jenny Connel. I want'cher name recognized as tuh most fearsome pirate on all o' Indur, and tuh savior of my people. Ye'll get bo't doin' tuh same ting."

The gypsy seemed to relish in these cryptic messages for the time being, relaxing in his posture as he felt comfortable enough to use his native accent. He couldn't help but admire Jenny for a number of reasons. Her spitfire attitude could leave many a man speechless. If that wasn't enough, she could drink most men under the table and still keep her feet beneath her; a trait few woman possessed, even far less of them as beautiful as Jenny herself. Not even the Grand Council could hold the woman back if she was imperious enough. But most importantly, and Indyrio measured this carefully with his jealous eyes; the woman was able to keep her gods-be-damned jewelry for all the world to see. It made the gypsy reminiscent of older times, which in truth weren't so old as a month ago. Now his character had been diminished to a mere concocted personality, and what fellow could possibly get by on that alone?

An unconscious scowl began to darken the lines of his naturally charming face, tempting his inner turmoil forth until he realized his slight. Masking it with another swig of his ale, he set the tankard back down and eyed Jenny evenly. "You got dem papers I asked for, cher?"
