	Elmserith Woods Once a moderately sized woodland with a thick canopy that shielded the fierce suns away from the forest paths, the Elmserith Woods are four days to the southeast of Dimesca, and have since withered into nothing more than a shadow of its former self. Much of the woodland has died, the trees becoming hollow and ashen in color, their branches completely barren of all leaves so that they resemble naught but skeletal hands clawing at the air. The lush grass has long since disappeared to be replaced by a rocky, cracked ground, with thorned shrubs and the occasional Llynthíel flower on display as the dominant vegetation. However, the closer one draws to the center of the woodlands the more apparent it becomes that life still persists, valiantly fighting against its inevitable demise. 	Turvell Heathland What was once a mire of swampy bogs and stagnant ponds has since become considerably drier over the past century, gradually transforming from a moorland into a heathland instead. Positioned to the east of Elmserith Woods, and nearly half a week away in distance, the soil is infertile and acidic here, low-growing woody vegetation dominating the arid tract of land. Nevertheless, the Turvell Heathlands remain cloaked in a choking stench that constantly permeates the air, remnants of the methane bogs that bubble and the water which burns with hidden flame continuing to persist at the very heart of the heathland itself. 	Caliiran Highlands The highlands were once a veritable cluster of sloping rock hills covered in a swathe of green grasses and bountiful shrubbery. What remains from the blight is a desolate land that gathers errant winds in it‘s bleak valleys, the soil impossibly infertile due to the desertification of the earth. Only a glimmer of the past can be found close to the Aeluvrin, nestled between the Caliiran’s daunting slopes on each side. Grasses still continue to grow here, though they are sparse across the landscape. Located to the north west of Dimesca, the perilous journey can take upwards of a week’s trek by foot. It is home to those few brave souls who have withstood the test of the sands, and some who seek refuge from persecution within Dimesca herself.
