The Calendar & Timekeeping
The world of Arilu is orbited by two suns, named Zhaeves and Aeltha, and one moon, named Shedar. The orbital period of Arilu is consisted of 320 days, with 26 standard hours in each rotational period. There are eight days to a week, five weeks to a month, and eight months to the year. At the middle of each month (20th & 21st) is when Shedar is at its fullest.
The days in Arilu are divided into hours, which are most often referred to as candlemarks. There are 26 candlemarks in a single day, with sixteen of these being shed in daylight, and the other 10 being enshrouded in darkness.
The eight days of the week are as follows:
~ Zhaeva
~ Aelthia
~ Ildemena
~ Soentia
~ Caedhina
~ Shedara
~ Ryvkosa
~ TurvelaFor ease of visualization, here is how a standard calendar would appear:

One IC season will last approximately three OOC months before the season is declared over, and time moves forward. All threads in the past season are then declared Grandfathered (GFed), and it is no longer allowed to create new threads in that old season. People previously a part of a GFed thread may still continue to post in the thread until the storyline is finished, but new people are generally not allowed to join a thread that has been GFed into a past season. However, if it is particularly important that a character join a GFed thread, permission may be sought from a member of the staff.
The Indurian calendar has been restarted since the appearance of the Realm Drifters and the Great Desert, and so currently they are in 127 AB (After the Blight) since these momentous events first started. The opening post of all threads
must carry a Timestamp (TS) to enable all players to keep their Time Log (TL) in their character sheet in chronological order. A Timestamp may be as fancy or as simple as you wish. A sample is as follows:
